Thinking of travelling? Add these places to your bucket list

It’s difficult to escape the travel bug once you’ve caught it. You just want to tour the world and experience everything it has to offer.

This leads many people to make a bucket list of places they want to see. But what exactly is a bucket list?

Basically, it’s a list of all the destinations you want to go to and the adventures you want to have while travelling. Then you have to try to do them all in your lifetime.

To help you get started, here are a few tips for your travel bucket list.

When to go

Travelling the world is a once-in-a-lifetime experience for most people, especially when they are young and can take a gap year.

However, some people decide to go travelling when they reach their 30s after they have worked and saved money and can take a year off.

The other alternative is to tour the world over several years by using chunks of vacation time to go on extended holidays. Or use weekends to explore the world rather than spending a whole year simply travelling.

Shorter vacations are often better for people who need to work and have other obligations because it allows them to tour the world in their spare time.

Before you go

Before heading off on an adventure, be sure to be prepared.

Whether you are going alone or with friends, it’s a good idea to share an itinerary with family so they know roughly where you are and can check in to know you are safe.

Another tip is to make sure all bills and outgoings are paid before you go, so you don’t come back to outstanding debts and angry companies.

Also, remember to pack important items, like a first aid kit, flashlight, safety alarm and batteries. You can even consider rechargeable batteries so you don’t have a lot in your bag. Look at things like the flat top 18650 batteries.
